Living Waters Fellowship

Our Beginning

On August 20, 2006 a mission of the Church of God of Prophecy opened it's doors just south of Henderson, TN.  In an office building on the south bound land of Hwy 45.  There were 12 people who met for worship at 10:30 am.  The congregation was led by Bishop Joe D. Watson, and in attendance were Barbara Watson, Clayton DelRosa, Anita Grantham, David Grantham, Christian Jordan, Kim Jordan, Bobby Turner, Virginia Turner, Blondell Williams, David Williams and Mary Grace Wilson.

Our Purpose

The next few weeks, the purpose fo our mission was discussed and prayed over.  The congregation decided upon the name "Living Waters Fellowship" because it closely described the ministry that was desired by the group.  Jesus stated in John 7:38, "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of "Living Water".  We know that others can preach just as well, teach as correctly, and sing just as good.  We are not here to compete with our fellow servants.  But we are here to reach those they can't and won't reach.  There are plenty of people on the outer edge of society, and we mean to reach out to them.  Our methods may be nonconventional at times but we believe the rewards will be great.

Our Belief

We believe that everyone should hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Great efforts should be made by all those who have a personal relationship with Him.  As many as possible need to hear the Love Story and the judgment of God.  God has sent us to the streets and lanes, the highways and hedges to compel them to come.  Come as you are!  Everyone, no matter your class, station or past has a right to be invited.  When they hear the invitation, and they make their way to the church, they are treated with dignity.  There is warmth, love and a sweet invitation to come believe and receive.

Our Future

We are not here to just, "sit a spell," dry up and fall off.  NO, NO we are here until Jesus comes.  We must be busy with His business.  We must live His life.  We must walk His walk, talk His talk, and love with His love.  We will make great efforts to minister on many fronts.  We will spend and be spent.  What we are is not what shall be.  When Jesus does come back.  He will find us going forward.
